Her most memorable break came from her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her role. The following year, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. As a professional singer She has also recorded a single as well as an extensive work. In addition, she's an activist and works extensively in the field of LGBT rights.
